Hunt Living Lab
Innovating co-creative partnerships between the museum, community and local companies.
Informazioni su questo processo
Questo processo appartiene a Living Labs
The Hunt Living Lab aims to bring together active communities, with companies looking to obtain meaningful and longer lasting results from their corporate social responsibility budgets and programmes to create a product or service for the Hunt Museum. Using the Living Labs methodology, corporations, Irish museums and local communities will be invited to co-create a project that relates to the Hunt museum’s Climate and Sustainability theme for 2023.
On the 10th February the Hunt Museum hosted 7 museums and 8 businesses in a first of its kind co-creation workshop. The purpose of this workshop was to ideate a project or projects to develop further into what will become the Hunt Museum’s Living Lab.
To prepare for the workshop on the 10th of February, a group of 8 museums from Ireland attended a 90 min online session on the 1st of February. The aim was to establish what value-adding propositions museums could bring to the commercial sector.
Armed with the knowledge gained from the online session; the museums then met with local businesses for a day-long workshop, working together to understand Corporate Social Responsibility, explore the concept of a Living Lab, and to deliver creative solutions to questions from which to form new participatory business models. These ‘questions’ ranged from the challenge of antisocial behaviour to using a garden space in a sustainable manner to benefit the local community. All of the discussions on the day were viewed through the lens of climate action and sustainability, which is a Hunt Museum Business Plan specific goal for 2023.
The three stakeholders in the participatory process are the museum, a business and a community or communities. From this workshop there are two project ideas forming, and these two ideas will be brought to a group of identified communities in a final co-creation workshop in the coming weeks, where the final project idea will be identified; one which integrates mutual benefit for all three stakeholders. The date for this co-creation workshop is still to be decided, but updates to follow shortly!
